NOTE: If your character is a polar alignment from the norm of the subrace, you MUST make a biography explaining this and have it approved by the DM team. (Good aligned drow/duergar, evil aligned Aasimar etc)
Every subrace that is unlisted here is either closed, or needing approval. The rules for this are simple: If your subrace exceeds +2 ECL, then it is not allowed. If it is +2 or under, and it is not listed above, you may apply for it. Some exceptions for +3 ECL are made, contact administration if you have questions concerning that.
If you would like to play one of these races, make your character and arrange in-game with a DM or Administrator and we'll set you up with your character's appearance and stats. If you can't seem to find either of those, contact us on the forums and we'll arrange a time to get you set up. |

Help! I can't gain any experience! What's going on?
Your experience is being logged in our token, the ECL token. You can use this token to display the amount of EXP you effectively have and how much you'll need to level up.
Why do I need so much experience to level up?
This is because your ECL +1 or +2 character is technically higher leveled than it actually is. We operate at the same level Dungeons and Dragons 3.5e does, as a result your exp total must equal the amount of experience you would need for your character's level + their ECL. For example, if you had a level 1 Tiefling, you would need 3000 exp to level up to level two. (3000 is the amount needed for 3 by your normal +0 ECL Character) Your effective level is level 2, therefore the exp needed to level up must be as if you were of this level.
Help! Everyone hates my monstrous race! What do I do?
Yes, this is a common attribute of Faerun. If you find their hatred is too overwhelming for your character, we can facilitate your character (and perhaps others) finding a new safe haven away from the others. It is not uncommon for monstrous races to be exiled from society, and you must RP accordingly. You must also remember that IC actions should be taken in character, so if your monstrous race is hated by a group of players, you may react with just as much hate or even plan their demise- just do it IN CHARACTER please.
Is there a specific scale for Subrace Stats?
Subraces of ECL+1 gain a +2 stat bonus total and depending on the race, some other attributes. ECL +2 get a +4 stat total and fairly strong attributes to go alongside. Sometimes the +4 stat will be lowered to +2 because the spells/abilities of this race are so powerful.
Do I get to reach max level, if I have an ECL?
Yes! You can reach maximum level as an ECL character, it just takes a little longer depending on your ECL.
My token isn't working as intended! What should I do?
Get in contact with the Admin or one of the developers and they'll help you out as quickly as possible.

CUSTOM SUBRACE APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED.While any subraces on the aforementioned available list are still open for play, we are currently not accepting any further applications for unsupported subraces. We want our DM/Build time to be focused on systems that are wider-reaching, and we also want a better system in place to support custom subrace creation and management before we allow more in. |
