Triel Zaphresz, by all accounts an uncommon drow. not like those who claim to be better than the concept of what a drow is, Triel found that instead of channeling divine power into the form of spells, she would take the power directly from the Weave and form it to her will. Years of study and dodging the inquiries of the Clerics of Lloth, found that she had talent as a Wizard, and the talent led to her interest in the undead. After years of learning basic spells she decided to begin studying death and how life could be restored through magical means unrelated to the Gods. 

This led to her searching for rumors, both of the surface world and the Underdark. She heard whispers of Siranda and a darkness that was currently sweeping the land. Without word she set off, traveling for a few years, a mixture of traveling through the Underdark and the surface. SHe eventually found her way into Kalaram during the full onset of the Zombie horde. Making her way through she eventually found the Sundered Desolation, hiding her identity as a Drow to further investigate the infection.
