Bounty Hunter: Characters with this profession spent much of their time as hired enforcers, specifically tasked with hunting down criminals, tax evaders, military defectors, and so on. Though they may have taken crooked contracts on the side, most of them operated within the terms of whatever agreement they had signed, making them at least somewhat honorable. In most cases they prefer to take their targets alive to ensure maximum profit, but if push comes to shove, they typically have no qualms about bringing back a body (or pieces of it, for that matter).
- Starting Gear (pick one): Padded armor, regular bolts, and a heavy crossbow OR a club, chain shirt, and throwing axes.
- Bonus Feats: Favored Enemy: Humans.
- Skill bonuses (pick one): +1 search and +1 spot or +1 listen, +1 hide, +1 move silently.
- Class Restriction: Fighter, Barbarian, or Ranger.
Undead Slayer: Those who tangled with the undead prior to the infection will find themselves far more at home in the apocalypse than most others (if equally as miserable), driven by an oath, deity, or plain vengeance. Before the plague utterly destroyed the Kingdom of Siranda, these brave men and women had the dangerous responsibility of combating all sorts of corporeal undead, from zombies to wights; make no mistake, numbers were a necessity for such a perilous profession. Much of their time was spent in dank dungeons, tombs, etc. purging these loathed abominations from our world.
- Starting Gear (pick one): Scythe or light flail (both have +2 positive damage vs undead) and scale mail or studded leather and a large shield.
- Bonus Feats: Resist Disease or Resist Poison.
- Skill Bonuses: Lore +2.
- Class Restriction: Fighter, Paladin, Cleric, or Druid.
Gladiator: Whether as a slave or volunteer, a character with this profession fought in arenas for the entertainment of others. Survivors were next to nil in a job such as this, though those that managed to overcome the stacked odds are some of the most feared warriors Siranda has to offer. Not only did these great warriors combat beasts both magical and mundane, they usually (but not always) did so with very little experience and training. Tossed whatever armaments were left around and thrust into the fray, these resilient men were rarely left with much time to debate before being assailed by their quarry. A hardened gladiator fears little and knows that everyday he fights could be his last; the time for hesitation and doubt is not now, -especially- not now given the situation.
- Starting Gear (pick one): gladiator's sling (-1 ab, +1d4 piercing damage), heavy bullets (on hit: cast daze), and padded armor OR a short sword, breast plate, and a small shield.
- Bonus Feats: Fearless and Weapon Proficiency: Exotic.
- Skill Bonuses: Discipline +3.
- Class Restriction: Fighter or Barbarian.
Cat Burglar: Before the outbreak you were a skilled burglar, capable of truly spectacular feats of larceny that saw you employed by many of Siranda's questionable organizations. Although proficient in your trade, you were unable to step into the ranks of the worlds legendary thieves before the plague struck, leaving some of your skills far less polished then others. Additionally, your skill at arms and the equipment with which to combat assailants is quite lackluster, as you relied on an immediate retreat when cornered or caught.
- Starting Gear: A set of thieves tools (+1) that grant 1 use per day of the knock spell (cannot be dropped, traded, or sold).
- Bonus Feats: Stealthy or Skill Focus: Disable Trap.
- Skill Bonuses: +1 to open lock, +2 disable trap, and +1 search.
- Class Restriction: Rogue.
