Dark Hour PVP Rules
For combat between characters on Dark Hour, you can:1) Use dicebags. The system for dicebagging (should) be the following:
- Roll a 1d20 die, add your Attack Bonus (AB)
- If the above roll is higher than the defenders Armor Class (AC), then you hit
- Roll the weapon's damage (Examine the weapon you currently have equipped, or apply your unarmed damage), add your Strength Ability Score Modifier (Located next to the amount of Strength you have), and add weapon misc. properties.
- Damage vs. Defenders HP. If the Defender's HP would become less than 1 HP, the Defender is knocked unconscious.
- The above is used if you're attacking. The normal Strength Roll (or Dexterity if you have Weapon Finesse) versus Dexterity roll, and if the attacker hits, then Defender rolls Constitution, and if the difference between the Constitution and the Strength or Dexterity is more than 10, then the defender is unconscious, system applies for general roughhousing, etc.
2) Activate the Subdual Mode feather in your inventory. Select the option "Sparring Mode," and initiate normal combat. Both parties MUST have "Sparring Mode" toggled, or one of the parties is going to -actually- die. No death occurs when "Sparring Mode" is activated, just the person who is reduced to below 1 HP is knocked out for a period of time, then gets back up. By the way, don't try to use this to avoid dying from zombies. You're sadly mistaken, and no raises will be given out if you try.
3) Ask for actual PvP permission. If you are caught blatantly attacking players without Subdual Mode on or permission, then you will given a ban varying upon the severity of your offense.
If your character dies due to #3, then do not make another character in order to get vengeance for your previous character's death. This is, in essence, attempting to Player Kill, and you will be banned for it.
PLEASE NOTE: Pickpocketing another player is grounds for full-on PVP. Please keep this in mind when stealing from another survivor.
D&D Hardcore rules are on. Area of Effect damage harms players. Please do not do this to intentionally try to kill them "by accident", that would make us very unhappy! Casting offensive spells on someone to test them is also not allowed, unless the other person agrees to getting hurt. The people playing here are players like you. So before you kill someone, ask yourself: Would I want to die? Can I continue to Roleplay when others know me to be a murderer? Will some avenge my victim and kill me in return?
There you are, your PVP rules. Now get out there and avenge your father!
