I think there was no new content. Most of the ZS modules use the same systems for the most part. I've been slowly working on a new one with new areas, items, and all the scripts are pretty much done by me so far.

Unfortunately, the server went the way of most ZS's. It was crazy fun with a ton of people, then people realized that there was no new content, and the story telling sort of stopped. Real life got in the way for a number of our most active DMs and players, leading to fewer players wanting to sit around and chat or explore content that they've already had on farm. player driven RP can only take a player base so far... Anyway, some of us are still around, but unfortunately until there's something new to go on, you won't see us around in game all that much.

From a developer perspective:
Trying to pump out all the new content people were dreaming of was a slow going process due to how messy the base module was. It was like trying to build a skyscraper on sand. We needed to lay down a proper foundation first which was incredibly time consuming. Early on we contemplated starting a new module from scratch, but for better or for worse we decided on improving what we had. Though we were on the precipice of having that foundation laid out, most of the foundation work was invisible from a player perspective so it felt like very little was progressing forward. People got frustrated with the perceived stagnation.
Additionally, my life got much busier. With a lot on my own plate it became really obvious that we were lacking the hands we needed to help. It was far from just about scripting - we needed people to help us test our changes, to help solidify specifics of new systems we wanted to implement, to have more areas built, etc. Progress was really slow with how small our circle of assistance was and it made our own interest dwindle. Investing hours of work daily only to have nothing be visible on the live end took its toll.
It may happen that the passion bites us again and we try to breathe life back into the module and community. Just recently Aez and I were fondly talking about how pleased we were with our nearly-finished hunger system revamp, and how it'd be a shame to have it never see the light of day. Until then though I can't make any promises about when that will be or how long a second initiative will take. I will say that we'll definitely put the word out if we're taking another crack at it.

ajzs.forumotion.com/I'm working on a module from scratch, got a lot of content in it already, and if I get enough interest I might continue working on it. Also, I'm open to sharing the module with other people to work on.

Best of luck to Vault, I am glad some people enjoyed this server. Unfortunately, I think Dark Hour needs to die. At least this incarnation of it. I think Tweek explained enough, just know that we put as much as we could into it but our sights were set too high. I'm not done in the NWN community, rest assured i'll send you fellas a message when the wheels are turning once again.
Thanks for playing with us while it lasted, it was fun.
