Posted neatly over the Desolation’s Community Chest was the following notice,
“Following an onslaught of undead and mutants toward this home, the figure who seems to have heralded them to us is at large. Be on the lookout for a man in black robes, carrying a magical staff, the end of which contain a magical vortex. Any sightings of this man in or around the isle should be reported to Durnan, Barristan, or myself. Approach the man with extreme caution, for he is a capable and deadly spellcaster. Additionally, for this reason, engaging him in combat is ill-advised, unless he returns back to the Desolation.
