~~~~~~Rina Fen'lith~~~~~~
~~~~~~General Description~~~~~~
Height: 2'6
Weight: "Rude..." (28 lbs)
Eyes: Sapphire Blue
Hair: Red
Skin: Pale
Build: Twig-like/slender
A young halfling that seems about as ready for combat as a box of newborn kittens. She stands a little shorter than most hin her age, but she doesn't seem to mind. In fact she seems to use her small stature to avoid the zombies and other creepy crawlies that stalk the night. Her face holds a slightly oval shape, with a little button nose and cupid-bow lips. She seems to lack generous curves, looking more tomboyish and generally "cute". She tends to wear loose trousers and shirt, often in bright colors to match her usual mood. Even in the face of the undead she seems quick to flash her pearly whites to people. An air of confidence shrouds the little hin, maybe even over-confidence as she is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and put up her fists in defense of herself or her friends.
~~~~~~Brief History~~~~~~
Tick tock. Tick Tock. The clock trudged on in a monotonous march through time. It was one of the few sounds that echoed through the empty halls of a cramped home. A certain home that belonged to a certain heroic hin, or at least in her eyes. Books were stacked to the roof and various ingredients and vials were hastily strewn and tossed with reckless abandon. This was a house that was lacking in space. A thick, iron cauldron sat perched in the middle of the typhoon of clutter. There a small halfing, with a head of ruby locks, standing on top of a stepping stool. She stirred the contents of the pot, liquid bubbling and gurgling with each go around. Rina was not the best alchemist, nor mage, but she was getting better. Surely the town could not blame her if her healing tonics changed someone's hair color, or someone grew a third eye. These effects were temporary rest assured. The number of incidents were rather low this time of year. This fact drew a toothy smile from the little hin. The new batch of potion blurbled and puffed with orange smoke, singing her hair a bit. She coughed and waved a little hand in front of her nose.
THUMP! THUMP THUMP!
Was that the customer? He was rather early for his batch. The little hin jumped from her stool and ran to the door, bare feet pitter pattering against papers and stone. She flung the door open and there stood Mr. Jimbo, only it wasn't him. Not entirely at least. Half of his face was missing and his left arm was bent at a wrong angle. Rina's eyes shot open wide as she went to utter her concern. The monster Jimbo lunged forward with a sick, grating groan as it grabbed at the small morsel. Rina was far to witty for this creature as she jumped down through her escaping-from-angry-customer's hatch. Before she left, a gift she offered. A crash of glass and a gout of flames. FWOOSH! Her little home caught fire quickly. Black smoke lazily trailed up into the sky. Rina exited from another hatch not two blocks down. That is when she realized the world was quite different. More ex-neighbors shuffled about in a mass of decaying flesh, chasing down other living neighbors who were being eaten alive if they were unlucky enough to get grabbed.
Fear gripped her heart, but this was no time for delay. The little hin found the nearest store and grabbed with her some supplies. Steeling herself for the journey ahead she rushed out of the city gates and into the wilds. It was terrible, but Rina always had to look on the bright side. At least she had an excuse to make more fire jars now.
