Well, with all these folks saying it's too hard. I'm all for making it harder.
I find the fact that there's a resting point right beside a location that has the chance to spawn Vault keys, pretty silly. While it's nice to have a breather, the hillside area before the Castle itself has no undead, so you can breath there all you like. The secureable house on the island however, merely allows for farming of the Vault Keys. Darting back and forth between the house and the Castle takes no time at all, and it's supposed to be a hard place to get it - correct me if I'm wrong there.
Also, an argument could be made in the fact that you have to secure the house before you are allowed to rest - so it's still kinda tricky right?
It's just not. Two people, level three and level two, swept the house clean without a single near miss incident. And the fact that everybody has immediate access to level two, the task at hand is pretty trivial.
I find the distance from the Castle, to the Ranger Cabin South of Baraban much more acceptable - you've gotta earn it.
I don't think the Castle was ever meant to be farmed, I remember it being a big deal, to run across an undead filled countryside, tripping your way through the dark. It's panicy, and fun.
Now, of course, these are just my views that I'm putting forth to everybody else to discuss and we'll see where it goes~

The big update incoming will have the resting point be much further away from Castle Siranda.
